AN ANGRY Kroger shopper says she was overcharged about five times the amount she was supposed to pay, resulting in her card being blocked — and it’s not the first time.

The dissatisfied Kroger customer shared a photo of her receipt on social media platform X, revealing that she only purchased $33.05 worth of gas.

Now she claims $150.50 – almost five times the amount she actually spent – ​​was put on her card and she wants to know why.

“Why did you just put a pending charge on my debit card for over 5 TIMES the amount I paid for gas!?” wrote, kutekiTTi (@kute_kitti) On thursday.

“I paid $33.05 and you put a pending charge of…$150.50!?” she lamented.

According to the user, she had already been through this.

“This happened last year and all I was told was that the correct amount will be charged in a few days…”

She explained in a later comment that although this time she had enough funds in her account to cover the overcharge, she was not so lucky the previous year.

The first incident left his debit card blocked due to lack of funds.

“Last year, it blocked my debit card because my account didn’t have $150 to use,” she explained.

“I couldn’t buy groceries until the charge was made and processed correctly. Fortunately, this time my card was not blocked.”

The user went into more detail in a third comment.

The experiences left her angry and questioning why Kroger has such a policy.

Shopper Stacy Hicks criticized the Kroger app after claiming she was charged for items she didn’t order and receive in an online order.

The retailer offered customers several ways to contact its customer service team for issues like overcharging.

Hicks shared his warning on Facebook publish.

The buyer claimed she was overcharged when she tried to buy bananas.
