WALMART is saving customers a lot of money on doctor visits as part of a one-day event.
The retail giant will host its summer Wellness Day just in time for back-to-school season.

This event will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Walmart stores in North Texas are holding a Wellness Day to help families prepare to send their children back to school, according to NBC affiliate KXAS-TV.
The event will take place from 10am to 2pm and will include free screenings and affordable immunizations.
The retailer is offering families free glucose, cholesterol, BMI and blood pressure screenings.
Certain locations are also scheduled to offer free vision screenings.
These stores will also offer affordable immunizations for flu, HPV, pneumonia, tetanus, hepatitis A and B, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), chickenpox (varicella/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), among others, according to the point of sales.
Walmart’s Regional Health and Wellness Director, Shantay Peloquin, praised the company’s work.
“Our Walmart Health and Wellness team is proud to once again be part of two of America’s largest back-to-school fairs,” said Peloquin.
“We look forward to providing important health and vision screenings and being a resource for students and families across the Metroplex as they begin a new school year in the coming weeks.”
Pharmacists and ophthalmologists from local Walmart locations will also come to the Dallas Mayor’s Back-to-School Fair and the Tarrant County Back-to-School Summary.
WALMART WELLBEING
Walmart has hosted these events since 2014.
The network noted that it contributed five million free health screenings to shoppers, according to KXAS-TV.
Walmart also offers these exams annually to non-students and adults.
The retailer hosts its Wellness Day every spring, The US Sun previously reported.

The network also hosted a similar event in January.
CHANGE OF SERVICE

The chain’s Health and Walmart Virtual Care services will close after five years of operation.
