Apple AirPods rivals at just $49 are ‘best value’ as shoppers rush for ‘limited’ deals on ‘amazing’ headphones

A PAIR of wireless headphones are heavily discounted right now at Amazon.

The JBL Tune Flex – built to rival the hugely popular Apple AirPods – is now 50% off.

This means the price of the headphones has been reduced from $99.95 to $49.95.

This is a sizable $50 discount that’s available as part of what Amazon calls a “limited time deal” — though it doesn’t specify when the offer will end.

However, it’s worth noting that Amazon trackers show this is the lowest price ever for these headphones.

And the price is well below the average margin of US$79.96.

These headphones are wireless, meaning they connect to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop via Bluetooth.

They feature Active Noise Cancellation to block out the noise around you.

But there’s also an Ambient Aware feature that lets you “tune in to your surroundings at any time to feel safer when you’re out in the world.”

Additionally, there is TalkThru to have a quick conversation with someone without having to take off your headphones.

The headphones have four built-in microphones for hands-free calling.

And you can use the VoiceAware feature to adjust how much of your voice you hear through the headphones.

JBL promises a generous 32 hours of battery life.

That’s eight standard hours, plus an extra 24 hours in the charging case.

If noise cancellation is enabled, battery life drops to six hours plus 18 hours from the charging case.

The earbuds are water and sweat resistant, but not waterproof – so don’t drop them in the pool.
