In a special memo to users, Amazon listed some of the best Prime benefits that are commonly forgotten.

First, you can get a discount on Prime itself.

Typically you would pay $14.99 per month (or $139 per year) for Amazon Prime.

But there are some schemes that drastically reduce the cost of your Prime accounts.

Amazon explains: “Prime Access, for example, costs just $6.99 per month for eligible recipients of government assistance, including PHOTOGRAPH EBT and Medicaid.

“Prime Student – another discounted membership – costs $7.49 per month or $69 per year for members enrolled at two- or four-year colleges, which includes additional perks exclusive specifically for students.”

Additionally, new members can try the standard 30-day trial.

And if you want to try Prime Student, eligible members can request a free six-month trial.

So don’t shell out for a full-price Prime membership before trying to claim some of these discounts first.
