It only takes a few taps in the settings to navigate to the picture modes.

But once you know how to do this, you can adjust the look of your TV whenever you want.

“Your Roku TV system has several preset picture modes that adjust the appearance of the picture to suit your preferences and viewing environment,” explained Roku.

“Changing the picture mode can provide improvements, especially given the wide range of input signal types from devices such as cable and satellite boxes, Blu-ray players, or game consoles and the quality of those signals.”

HOW TO CHANGE PICTURE MODES ON ROKU TV

First, you want to start streaming a movie or TV show.

So hit the star

icon on the Roku remote, opening the TV’s Settings menu.

Now go to Picture Settings > Picture Mode and navigate to your chosen look using the left and right buttons on the remote.

You can set different picture modes for individual video inputs on your TV.

So you could have a different picture mode for the PlayStation input compared to a set-top box.

There is a powerful uniform mode feature you can try called Expert Picture Settings or EPS.

But be warned: they are not for the faint of heart.

“Expert Picture Settings is designed for experienced AV enthusiasts and professional TV calibrators,” Roku explained.

“Whoever is comfortable with and knowledgeable about advanced image quality concepts such as color temperature, white balance adjustment, gamma curve, and color management.”

Be careful when messing with this as it can be tricky unless you know what you are doing.

on the Roku remote and go to Picture Settings > Customize Picture Mode > Advanced Settings.

You can also do this using the Roku mobile app. Just sign into the app, tap Devices, and go to Settings > Specialized Picture Settings.
