Now, according to Amazon’s terms and conditions, prime has another, lesser-known benefit.

Amazon Prime currently costs $139 per year or $14.99 per month.

Instead of multiple people at home purchasing their own accounts, customers can “share” their benefits in just five easy steps.

First, the account holder must access their Amazon Prime subscription management page.

They can then scroll down past the help section to the Share Your Top Benefits section and select the Manage Your Family button.

From there, the account holder must enter the name and email of the person they want to share the account with.

On the recipient’s part, he or she must accept the terms and conditions to continue subscribing to the account and benefits.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY

While this money-saving trick will certainly make many anxious, it’s important to know that this deal comes with conditions and parameters.

Anyone invited to the household must live in the same country or region as the original account holder for the household to remain valid.

They must also share an Amazon Marketplace, which is determined by the account holder’s region but can be changed in the account settings.

A total of two adults, four teenagers and two children can be added to the benefit family.

Each of the adults must have a pre-existing account, teens can use both the marketplace and streaming services, and children can only use streaming accounts.

Content available for viewing by teens and children can also be viewed and filtered by the adults on the account.

For parents and guardians, adding a teen or child to your account also allows you to track their child’s account activity.

For adults on the account, they must also agree to share payment information with each other, with the caveat that they will be notified when their payment method is used in an order.

Adults on the account share all the benefits of an Amazon Prime account:

  • Main shipping
  • Prime now
  • Fresh Amazon
  • Prime Video Streaming
  • Prime reading
  • Amazon Photos
  • Amazon First Reads
  • Prime Early Access
  • Prime-exclusive pricing on Amazon Music Unlimited and Kindle FreeTime Unlimited
  • Exclusive Prime discounts on select products and subscriptions

Managing a family on Amazon is simple; Account owners can also remove members from their family with one click from the family management page.
