ELON Musk’s Starlink space internet has received a huge discount – and is available in dozens of US states.
Starlink uses a network of satellites orbiting the Earth to beam internet to your home.
You’ll need to buy one of SpaceX’s Starlink receivers to get it – in addition to paying a monthly fee for the internet itself.
But it’s a great alternative to wired connections or as a backup option to regular internet.
In early 2022, Starlink increased the price of its hardware from $499 to $599.
But this week, the price dropped to $499.
And if you’re lucky enough to live in one of the 28 states where there’s plenty of Starlink capacity, you can claim an additional $200 discount.
So you’re potentially saving $300 compared to what you could have paid just a few weeks ago.
“In the United States, new orders in certain regions are eligible for one-time savings in areas where Starlink has abundant network availability,” SpaceX explained.
“$200 will be removed from the Starlink kit price when ordering on Starlink.com.
“And if activated after purchase at a retailer, a $200 credit will be applied.
“Savings are only available for the Residential Standard service in these designated regional savings areas.”
