There are lots of ways to unblock free TV shows, movies, and even live channels – but one is particularly good (and totally legal).

It’s called Plex, and it’s available for free download on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.
The app has a huge library of over 50,000 movies and TV shows available on demand.
And Plex also offers more than 1,100 live channels (of which more than 840 are available in the United States).
Now Plex is adding seven additional channels this week.
The list of new entries includes:
- Prime Suspect
- The Doctor Blake Mysteries
- A touch of ice
- Death Valley Days
- HBC Go Sports
- BET Comedy by Tyler Perry
- BET Tyler Perry Drama
This comes just days after six other channels were added, including The Conners, Rachael Ray’s Italian Dream House and FIFA Plus.
PLEX BEST THING!
Some TV fans may have missed the fact that Plex offers free content.
That’s because it started out as an app for casting content you saved (like home movies) to a screen of your choosing.
This worked by setting up media servers, allowing you to create your own kind of personal Netflix.
But in late 2019, Plex started offering supported ads television at no cost to viewers.
Its content library has grown quickly and today it is one of the best options when it comes to watching free TV on your devices.
Plex also offers movies for rent (as of February 2024), but it costs money.

Of course, Plex isn’t the only game in town when it comes to FAST services — or free, ad-supported television.

It offers more than 400 live TV channels.
And it promises more than 80,000 movies and TV shows on demand.

- Roku mobile apps (iOS and Android)
Roku notes that the app is only available in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It’s also available in Mexico, but only on Roku devices.
But it can help you save money every month by letting you cancel some of those premium subscriptions.
It may even allow you to cancel the cable.
