How exciting can a phone charger be, really? Well, the answer is: extremely.

I’m testing a trio of wireless chargers from Anker, one of the biggest names in iPhone accessories.

And unlike many of the gadgets I tested, I still use them well after I need them for work. First class stuff.

All are part of Anker’s MagGo line, which takes advantage of Apple MagSafe technology.

If you purchased a iPhone in recent years, it will likely offer MagSafe charging.

Apple explains: “MagSafe chargers and batteries Photograph on the back of your iPhone or on your case or MagSafe case. Magnets ensure proper alignment for fast wireless charging”

The footprint with all three of these accessories is that they’re really designed for Apple obsessives – so you’ll have a better time if you have multiple gadgets from the company.

#1 IPHONE CHARGING ACCESSORY – Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1 Pad)

So first up is the MagGo Pad 3-in-1, which is the product I put on my bedside table (or bedside table, if you’re reading this in the UK).

It charges not only an iPhone but also Apple AirPods and Apple Watch all at the same time.

Gone is the confusing mass of cables that this gadget arsenal used to demand.

Now I have a beautiful pad that my wife can’t be mad at and that won’t get in my way during a bleary-eyed 3 a.m. trip to the bathroom.

The good thing about it (and all three of these chargers, actually) is that it supports StandBy mode.

I predicted Apple’s phone release date last year — now’s when I think the iPhone 16 and its free iOS update will arrive

This is an iPhone setting that activates when the device is charged and turned on its side.

As Apple explains: “You can use StandBy to turn your iPhone into a bedside clock, a photo frame, a display for viewing widgets or live activity in full screen, and more.”

It’s the perfect way to have a clock on your nightstand and charge your iPhone at the same time.

IPHONE CHARGING ACCESSORY #2 – Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1 Foldable)

But wait, this gets even better.

The first charger was quite large, so it’s only good when you have a little space.

If you want something to move a little, there’s the 3-in-1 Foldable.

This is a foldable pad smaller than an iPhone (but about 2.5 times thicker).

And it’s compatible with iPhone MagSafe charging (including StandBy mode), as well as powering your AirPods on a flat level.

What’s more, you can open a third pad at the bottom to turn on your Apple Watch.

I use this one at work because it’s easy to move from my desk to meeting rooms — and it’s great for traveling, too.

IPHONE CHARGING ACCESSORY #3 – Anker MagGo Power Bank (10k)

That’s cool, right? Well, take a look at this.

What if you want to charge, but have nowhere to plug it in? Anker made a Power Bank version with a 10,000mAh battery inside.

The disadvantage of this model is that it can only charge one item at a time – an iPhone or AirPods.

But it supports StandBy on your iPhone (courtesy of a small stand).

And it also attaches magnetically to the back of the device, like a battery.

You can flip the holder back and simply use it as a magnetic battery pack if you prefer.

This one is great for carrying in a backpack, providing some emergency power when you’re away from an electrical outlet.

It also has a small portable display on the side that displays information such as remaining charge.
