Samsung has a long list of tips for keeping your device safe during the warmer months.
If you find that your phone is getting too hot, there are a few ways to reduce the temperature.
Avoid making the dreaded “cradle” mistake or leaving your device on the phone stand on hot days.
These tools are typically mounted on the windshield or dashboard, allowing you to use a navigation app hands-free while you drive.
While it can be useful, a phone holder will expose your device to more sunlight – especially when using mobile data, Bluetooth or charging.
The easiest solution is to take your phone out of the sun and let it cool down.
You can also remove the phone case to prevent the device from heating up further.
Another simple solution is to close all applications that tax your phone’s power and working memory.
Close any applications you’re not using, especially if they’re graphics-intensive, like mobile games.
It’s also worth reducing the screen brightness. While this may make viewing in the sun easier, it also drains power from your phone, increasing its temperature.
You must ensure that adaptive brightness is turned off. This feature automatically increases screen brightness when it detects sunlight.
Start by swiping down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Panel.
Tap the arrow next up the bar to adjust the screen brightness, and then turn off the button next to “Adaptive brightness”.
You can also try lowering the screen resolution if the option is available on your device.

It is normal for the temperature of your cell phone to increase, especially if you are carrying out an activity that uses a lot of processing power.
This includes video calls, mobile gaming or video streaming.
