George Conwaya longtime critic donald trumpaccused the former president of behaving like Adolf Hitler in his final days after a bizarre attempt to undermine the buzz surrounding the vice president Kamala Harris.
On Sunday, Trump falsely accused his presidential opponent of using artificial intelligence to suggest that a huge crowd attended a campaign rally on Wednesday near Detroit.
Harris’ campaign said 15,000 people were drawn to the rally as excitement grew around her bid for the White House, while Trump falsely declared that “there was no one there.” The event was widely covered by the media, with Local news outlet MLive reporting that “around 15,000 people” were present at the rally.
Trump’s baseless claim led Conway to renew his attacks on the Republican presidential candidate, going so far as to compare Trump’s state of mind to that of Hitler retreating to his bunker in Berlin during the final days of World War II.
During an appearance on the program “Morning Joe” On Monday, Conway told co-host Jonathan Lemire, “[Trump] is, as I have been saying, a narcissistic sociopath, a pathological narcissist, and a sociopath as defined by the American Psychiatric Association.”
“These are, historians will say, the characteristics of authoritarian dictators throughout history,” continued the conservative lawyer. “And what we’re seeing now is, as you said, an implosion. This, I believe, is what, ultimately, was always going to happen. Donald Trump’s final implosion.”
“I mean, it’s like Hitler when Hitler moved around divisions that didn’t exist in the last 10 days of the war in the Führerbunker,” Conway added. “He completely lost control. This post is unquestionably delusional.”
Conway recently launched a new political action committee, the Anti-Psychopath PAC.
During last month’s Republican National Convention, Conway’s PAC placed anti-Trump billboards around host city Milwaukee, reminding voters that the Republican Party was in the process of nominating a “convicted criminal.”
