During a chaotic interview with Elon Musk yesterday on X, Trump explained that Harris’ face looked familiar.

“She looked a lot like our great first lady, Melania,” Trump said.

In addition to making this strange comparison, Trump also appeared to mispronounce Kamala Harris’ name numerous times.

At some points, it sounded like he was saying “Camilla.”

“She didn’t look like Camilla, but of course, she’s a beautiful woman, so let’s leave it at that,” Trump said, speaking about the cover.

The magazine’s cover featured a black and white illustration of Harris, accompanied by the caption “Her Moment”.

Speaking about this image, Trump stated that Harris was presented as if she were “the most beautiful actress who ever lived.”

Trump’s interview with Musk faced several problems last night.

It started about 40 minutes late after users had trouble getting access to the live stream.

The discussion was scheduled to start at 8pm.

Donald Trump’s ‘impromptu’ interview with Elon Musk finally begins after ‘breaking X Spaces’ in chaotic build

Musk claimed that X was the victim of a cyber attack.

He argued that this was the reason the interview didn’t load initially.

“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X. We are working to shut it down,” the Tesla CEO wrote.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s complicated relationship

Former President Donald Trump and Telsla CEO Elon Musk’s relationship got off to a rocky start, but the two have since reconciled, with Musk fully endorsing Trump and interviewing him on X Spaces on August 12.

In 2022, Elon Musk and Donald Trump publicly feuded on X, then still known as Twitter.

Trump called Musk a liar and a “bullfighter” during a rally in Alaska.

“Elon is not going to buy Twitter,” Trump said at the time.

“You know, he said the other day, ‘I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know that – you told me you voted for me, so he’s another idiot artist, but he’s not going to believe that.’

In response to Trump’s criticism, the SpaceX founder responded back.

“I don’t hate this man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat and sail off into the sunset,” Musk posted.

Musk also bought X months later.

The X owner said he had previously voted mostly Democratic since becoming a U.S. citizen in 2002.

However, when the 2024 elections arrived, he supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Trump’s rival.

“My preference for the 2024 presidency is someone sensible and centrist,” Musk wrote on X in 2022.

“I expected this to happen [be] the case for the Biden administration, but we are disappointed so far.”

His change in political parties can be attributed to his falling relationship with President Joe Biden, who did not invite Musk to the 2021 White House electric vehicle summit.

Despite past problems, Trump and Musk’s relationship changed in March after they met at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump was also previously against electric vehicles, but has since changed his stance.

“I’m for electric cars,” he said at a rally earlier this month.

“I have to be, because Elon supported me so strongly. So I have no choice.”

Following the assassination attempt at Trump’s rally in July, Musk announced his support for the former president.

“I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” Musk wrote on X after the shooting.

During a recent press conference, Trump praised Musk.

“I respect Elon a lot. He respects me,” he said.

“Elon, more than anyone I know, he loves this country. He loves the concept of this country, but like me, he says this country is in big trouble, it’s in tremendous danger.”

“In the worst case scenario, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later,” he said.

He explained that they had already tested the system with “8 million simultaneous listeners” earlier in the day and it worked.

“Trump and Elon Musk’s interview already broke the internet,” said one user on X.

“A lot of people want to watch it.”

Users were greeted with loud music as they tried to listen to Trump’s interview with Musk.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

The music finally stopped, but was replaced by a busy sound.

Some users compared the interview to a similar situation Ron DeSantis faced previously.

“Trump’s interview with Elon is happening exactly the same way it happened with Ron DeSantis. Technical difficulties,” said one user.

The Florida governor was expected to make his announcement in May 2023 regarding his plans for the next four years.

But the interview crashed X Spaces as hundreds of thousands of users flocked to listen.

Elon Musk’s Twitter Purchase Timeline

Elon Musk bought the social media app citing altruistic reasons for his acquisition.

April 2022: Negotiations begin for Musk to buy Twitter.

October 27, 2022: Musk finalized the purchase of the X and began his rebranding efforts.

November 1, 2022: Twitter Boars dissolves, making Musk the “sole director” of the site.

July 23, 2023: Musk announces rebranding of the icon and X users point out the change. “And soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand and, gradually, to all the birds,” he wrote.

July 24, 2023: Musk revealed the reason for the brand change. “The name Twitter made sense when it was just 140 character messages going back and forth – like birds tweeting – but now you can post almost anything, including several hours of video,” he said.

When the interview finally began, the pair discussed a wide range of topics.

These included anecdotes from Trump about his interactions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m not saying anything good or bad, they’re at the top of their game. They have to protect their country,” Trump said.

“These people are tough and at the top of their game – when they see Kamala or sleepy Joe, they can’t believe it.”

They also talked about the US-Mexico border and, of course, Kamala Harris.

The audio-only chat lasted 2 hours and Trump wasted no time attacking his Democratic rival.

“If we had her as president, if we had a Democrat as president, I don’t think we would survive,” declared the former president.

ELON ENDORSEMENT

The SpaceX founder supported Trump after the assassination attempt on him at a rally in Pennsylvania last month.

Trump was grazed in the ear by a bullet on July 13 by gunman Thomas Crooks.

Crooks was later shot to death by the Secret Service, but not before killing one attendee and seriously injuring two others.

Musk expressed his support for Trump following the incident.

“I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” he wrote.

Social media consultant Matt Navarra spoke to The US Sun about the relationship between Trump and Musk.

He called it a “marriage of convenience.”

“I think Trump needs the audience and engagement that X can provide from the distribution and reach that X gives him,” Navarra said.

“And I think Musk wants to make sure he aligns himself with the potential winning candidate in the next presidential election.”
