Mark Levin on Monday said he would advise the 2024 presidential candidate donald trump to disqualify potential running mates who will not appear on the conservative radio host’s popular show. (Check out the clip below.)

Levin, who also hosts “Life, Liberty & Levin” on Fox News, appeared to blur the line between advocacy journalism and functioning as an agent for Trump in his comments.

He began by pointing out the reach of millions of people of his radio program. He essentially begged Trump to eliminate vice presidential candidates not vetted by him and, by extension, his audience.

“If there is anyone who claims to be a conservative and does not accept this program, then my advice to President Trump is: do not choose him as your running mate,” Levin said. “If they’re not willing to come on this show and talk to me, and I talk to them on their behalf – don’t you agree, Mr. Producer? – that’s a telltale sign that they have a problem with you, millions and millions and millions of you.”

Levin said a possible Trump pick, a senator, declined to appear on the show.

“I cannot support this individual,” he said, without naming the person.

The Fox journalist, who worked as a counselor for several cabinet members in Ronald Reagan’s presidential administration, he appeared to be taking on the role of adviser to Trump in his quest to defeat President Joe Biden in a rematch.

Levin emphasized that he will support Trump no matter who he chooses for the Republican ticket. But he strongly recommended that the former president choose a candidate who would be approved by the host and his listeners.

Speaking to his audience, he declared: “If there is someone who wants to be vice president of the United States and claims to be a constitutional conservative, and they don’t want to talk to you – they should be eager to talk to you, they should be begging to talk to you. – and I can’t support them.”
