VALENTINA Gomez, the Republican candidate for Missouri secretary of state, is facing backlash after telling voters not to be “weak and gay.”
Gomez posted the video this week on X, formerly Twitter, where she is seen running through the Soulard community in St. Louis, a predominantly LGBTQ neighborhood.
“In America, you can be whatever you want, so don’t be weak and gay, stay strong,” Gomez he said while running in what appears to be a weighted vest.
The clip then abruptly cuts to her holding a high-powered rifle.
“This is so bizarre,” an X user commented.
