Reaction to Labor antisemitism investigation

In October 2020, Jeremy Corbyn was removed as a Labor MP over comments he made about an investigation into antisemitism under his leadership.

A bombshell report from the government’s equality watchdog has found the Labor Party responsible for “unlawful” harassment and discrimination against Jewish people during Corbyn’s reign.

The Islington North MP responded to the trial by saying allegations of antisemitism were “dramatically exaggerated”.

Laying a wreath on a terrorist grave

In 2014, Corbyn laid a wreath at the grave of terrorist masterminds alongside the leader of a group who murdered a British rabbi a month later.

The Labor leader was photographed alongside Maher al-Taher, the exiled leader of the proscribed Palestinian terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, at the ceremony in Tunis in October 2014.

In November of that year, two of his men killed four rabbis in a synagogue during morning prayers in Jerusalem.

One of them was Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, 68, father of six, originally from Liverpool, who retired to Israel.

Defending an anti-Semitic mural

Corbyn sparked fury in 2018 after it emerged he defended an artist who painted an anti-Semitic mural.

The graphic, called Freedom for Humanity, was painted on a property near Brick Lane in east London by international graffiti artist Kalen Ockerman, known as Mear One.

It showed several bankers around a monopoly board, betting with money, and a sign on the edge of the frame read: “The new world order is the enemy of humanity.”

The artist on Facebook: “Tomorrow they want to polish my mural. Freedom of expression. Call in London. Public art.”

Corbyn replied: “Why? You’re in good company. Rockerfeller destroyed Diego Viera’s mural because it included a photo of Lenin.”

Calling Hamas members “workers” and “my friends”

Corbyn once called the terrorist group Hamas “serious and hard-working” and even labeled members his “friends”.

The deputy faced widespread criticism for welcoming members of the militant Islamic groups Hamas and Hezbollah to Parliament in 2009.

And during a 2010 interview with ‘Reality Radio’, the 74-year-old said: “You have to recognize that the reality is that they have a lot of support, they have a lot of respect from a lot of Palestinians who don’t necessarily agree with them politically, but I recognize that they are serious, hardworking and not corrupt.”
