PIERS Morgan criticized Nigel Farage for pulling out of standing as an MP in the election, shouting: “You’ve bottled it up.”

The Sun columnist, 59, faced off against the reformist president, 60, over Farage’s refusal to stand as a candidate in July.

In the heated debate on BBC Question Time, Piers fumed: “You’ve had all year to think about this election.

“You knew this was coming.”

But Farage hit back, saying he stood for election “repeatedly” amid claims the six-week campaign was not enough time to prepare.

He added: “I had a serious attempt to run for parliament, but do you know what happened?”

Mr. Morgan interrupted to say, “He lost.”

But Farage countered: “They cheated so much that the agent was sentenced to nine months in prison.

“They overspent and cheated. I’ve been once before.

“I know how difficult it is when you have big parties that treat the law with contempt. I didn’t think that with six weeks from scratch I would be able to do that.

“I will be part of this campaign. I will be part of this debate. I think there are very serious issues to discuss.”

Farage stood for election as an MP on seven occasions and lost each time.

The Piers Morgan Uncensored presenter – who had previously branded Farage a “weasel” – shouted at the panel “you bottled it up”, while Farage responded with “you never stood up”.

The heated exchange forced the show’s host, Fiona Bruce, to intervene and interrupt the argument between the TV presenter and the Brexit leader.

The pair clashed again when Piers pressed Fargae over comments made by Reform deputy leader Ben Habib.

Habib suggested that canal migrants who “sink” their boats should “suffer the consequences of their actions”.

Piers asked Farage: “When he was asked, ‘Would you let them drown?’… he said absolutely”

“Do you report this?”

Farage replied: “Well, of course”

Morgan called the language “utterly reprehensible.”

After the show, Piers shared a photo with his eight million followers on X/Twitter of the panel, minus Farage, having a drink.

In the post, he mocked Farage as a “frog”.

Before appearing on the political panel, Morgan said, “Well, this should be fun.

“I haven’t seen Farage since the weasel tried to stab me in the back with Trump.”

The pair have been rivals since Farage allegedly sent former US President Donald Trump a list of reasons why he should not accept an interview on Piers’ show Piers Morgan Uncensored in 2022.

Farage claimed that yesterday would have been the day he announced his own candidacy for Westminster Rishi Sunak, not called Photograph election for July 4th.

Piers also questioned why Rishi Sunak had not settled his £1,000 debt to him over Rwandan politics.

The Prime Minister bet Morgan £1,000 earlier this year that deportation flights to Rwanda would take off before the next election.

Morgan asked Conservative MP Damian Hinds, who also sat on the panel: “Why isn’t he paying?

He added: “He is richer than the king.”

Farage was also asked about Brexit and told the audience in Epsom, Surrey: “Why people voted for Brexit, there were many reasons to gain control of our lives was the main one, of which borders were the most important part.

“The work opened the door to migration in the most incredible way. Under the Conservatives, this has just accelerated.

“The thing about Brexit is that it gives us total control over who can live this country.”
