Trump calls war in Russia a “horror show”
Trump promised that, if elected, he would end the war in Russia and Ukraine.
He claimed that he knew Zelensky and Putin “very well” and that he would put an end to the “terror show” in the region.
Trump talks about Barron
Trump said the backlash against him impacted his family.
Dr. Phil suggested that his son Barron may struggle due to his age.
Trump agreed but praised his son, saying, “He’s a tall kid, he’s really tall and he’s a great kid, he’s a good-looking kid and he’s going to college.
“He doesn’t say that because he doesn’t want to hurt me, but it has to affect my family. I have good children, I have a wonderful wife – it’s not easy for her to read about these things, this is false – false things.”
Trump claims he ‘never’ received a salary
Trump told Dr. Phil that he “never” took a salary while he was president.
He said he “gave up” his presidential salary, but the “fake news” never reported it.
Trump claimed he was the “only president” to do so.
Trump reveals ‘darkest’ moment
Phil asked Trump what his darkest moment was in recent years.
“Over the years, I’ve been through a lot,” Trump said. He went on to recall his ups and downs after running for president in 2016.
“I want people to know all aspects of it,” Dr. Phil said.
While Trump didn’t reveal the exact timing, he told Dr. Phil that the backlash against him was “unfair to his family.”
“It’s certainly not a good thing. It affects me more than it would if it was just about me,” he said.
When asked how his wife, Melania, is doing, he responded, “I think it’s good, but I don’t think it’s easy for her — she sees me fighting like hell and trying to make America great again.”
‘I could use a psychiatrist’
Trump joked that the interview was “psychological” and said he felt like Dr. Phil was his psychiatrist.
“I could use a psychiatrist,” Trump laughed.
Phil then asked Trump what he says to himself “when the crowd stops cheering.”
‘I even missed Oprah’
Trump recalled his life in real estate while living in New York and said he ran for president for others.
When discussing how his life changed as president, he joked, “I even missed Oprah,” and then told Dr. Phil, “give her my regards.”
Trump then said he ran again because he believed he won in 2020.
He said, “I’ve never said that on air before” and revealed that he wasn’t upset about losing the election, but that he should have won.
Claims that Trump won the 2020 election have been verified as false.
