Biden and Trump previously faced off in two debates in September and October during the 2020 presidential election, where they engaged in harsh attacks on each other. Trump repeatedly insulted Biden’s intelligence, while Biden called Trump “the worst president America has ever had.”

How can viewers in the UK watch the first US presidential debate?

CNN online streaming differs depending on the country you are in.

UK viewers who wish to watch the debate online can sign up at CNN liveUK specific plan. It costs £1.99 per month or £19.90 per year. Once viewers are logged in, they can stream the debate live online.

Viewers can also watch the debate by tuning into CNN International, which can be found on Sky TV channel 506, according to CNN International PR’s social media.

What time is the first US presidential election debate?

The first debate will take place on Thursday 27th June at 9pm ET, which will be 2am on 28th June BST. The broadcast will last 90 minutes and will have two commercial breaks.

If you miss the live broadcast, CNN International will replay it at 7am and 7pm on 28 June BST.

Who is moderating the first US presidential election debate?

The first debate will be moderated by CNN journalists Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Tapper is the main anchor for CNN in Washington DC and hosts the program The lead with Jake Tapper.
