During tonight’s presidential debate, the Biden the campaign plans to run a commercial ad centered on abortion rights, a campaign official confirmed.
This measure aims to highlight President Joe Biden’s stance on reproductive rights, in contrast to former President Donald Trump.
In light of the Supreme Court’s recent decision to reject an appeal against Idaho’s strict abortion ban, the campaign has released a new television ad.
This ad features Dr. Lauren Miller, an obstetrician who left Idaho due to fear of criminal charges under prohibition.
“These laws are truly barbaric. They are taking us back decades, if not centuries,” says Dr. Lauren Miller in the ad, by CNN.
“Donald Trump did it. He put women’s lives in danger.”
Trump landed in Atlanta
Former President Donald Trump’s arrival in Atlanta for the CNN presidential debate was marked by his plane landing at the airport.
He disembarked shortly after 5:30 p.m. ET to cheers from supporters, who chanted his name as he raised his fist in recognition.
The first debate ever
This debate will be the first of any presidential race.
It comes 89 days before any other debate in the country’s history.
The confrontation is taking place even before Donald Trump and Joe Biden officially accept their party’s nominations.
