NIGEL Farage says he has a clear conscience and the Conservatives have only themselves to blame if Sir Keir Starmer wins by a landslide.

He rejected claims that his return to the Reform leadership paved the way for a Labor “supermajority”.

He said: “If I had gone to the Bahamas and fished for a month, which was very tempting, the Conservatives would have been screwed. They did this to themselves. They broke trust.”

After addressing 4,500 supporters at the NEC in Birmingham – in the biggest event by any party during this election campaign – Farage attacked the Tories.

“The Conservatives haven’t delivered Brexit,” he told The Sun.

“Five million men and women who run small businesses feel completely betrayed.

“Millions of us who wanted lower immigration numbers have seen 2.5 million people leave in the last two years. You know the Tories betrayed Brexit.”

Farage said he feared Sir Keir would win with a small majority because then the far left would have influence.

He added: “Keir Starmer with a larger majority would actually be safer than with a small majority.”

The Reform campaign has had setbacks – including the need to withdraw support for candidates due to allegations of racism and a row over their stance on Ukraine.

But amid a barrage of criticism aimed at the BBC and Channel 4, whom he accused of trying to sew him up, he told the rally that “the bad apples have disappeared”.

Farage predicted that Reform will win millions of votes at the polls on Thursday. He said, “I really think we will do better than people think.”

He believes the party has momentum and that “this is just the first step of something really big and really fundamental.”

And he is confident of becoming an MP for the first time this week in Clacton. He said: “Advancement is very, very important.

“Because this is the energy This will be necessary for it to actually work by the end of the year. I never take anything for granted, you know? But I hope so. I hope so.”
