PRESIDENT Biden is sitting down with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos tonight for his first television interview after debating Donald Trump on CNN.
The debate sparked concern among Democrats as Biden struggled to combat fears that his age would hamper his ability to lead.
Biden defended his performance earlier this week, noting that his recent travels left him exhausted and he almost “fell asleep on stage.”
Democratic representatives have already started calling for Biden to resign, which has caused the White House to increase his public appearances.
Biden shut down rumors of his resignation earlier today, writing in X, “Let me say this as clearly as possible: I am the sitting president of the United States. I am the candidate of the Democratic Party. I will remain in the race.”
The president attended a campaign event in Wisconsin today and reiterated his intention to run.
