JOE Biden’s re-election bid hangs in the balance after a tumultuous week – with even former presidential advisers believing Democrats must change course.

Brett Bruen, a former adviser to President Obama, described Biden’s performance in the first debate as inexcusable and the commander in chief is on a weeklong mission trying to convince top Democrats that he remains the best man to take on Donald Trump.

Biden’s week of saving his campaign ended with an interview with ABC star George Stephanopoulos.

The president refused to suspend his re-election bid and asserted that no rival candidate was better qualified to do the job.

Even advisers to former presidents are now calling on Democrats to take a different course.

“Democrats are in a chaotic state of confusion right now,” Bruen told The US Sun.

“In short, we are in a state of ridiculous limbo in which everything depends on one individual who stubbornly sticks around because he, the members of his family they believe, with a full sense of right, that this appointment is rightfully theirs.”

Bruen criticized Biden’s performance in Atlanta, Georgia, last Thursday, describing it as “inexcusable.”

The debate marked a break with tradition, as it took place before party conventions.

Typically, presidential candidates clash in a trio of debates after Labor Day.

Awkward Joe Biden squints during July 4th fireworks after telling top Democrats he can’t work events after 8 p.m.

“This was a date and location of his choosing. It’s a fundamental requirement to be commander in chief and you won’t have any problems in the presidential race,” Bruen added.

“The notion that Biden is the only one who can deliver democracy is pure fallacy. Biden is a deeply flawed candidate.

“The truth is that this man should not be our candidate because he has no strength, no stamina and no ability to communicate how our party and our country move forward.”

Bruen criticized Biden’s team for preparation before the car crash confrontation.

“The fact that they did not attack him and prevent him from taking the debate stage is in itself political negligence,” he said.

Bruen criticized Biden’s team for “beating down” questions about the president’s competence.

He warned that this approach would have an adverse effect.

“Instead of acknowledging some of these issues and engaging with those who have constructive concerns, they are just trying to bulldoze their way through them,” he said.

Throughout the 90-minute confrontation with Trump, Biden struggled to answer questions and articulate his vision for the country.

Biden is a deeply flawed candidate.

He sounded hoarse as soon as he entered the stage.

Biden’s team said he had a cold.

The president later claimed he almost fell asleep and appeared to blame his schedule.

But he was holed up at the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland for an entire week.

Criticism arose during and after the debate.

Biden’s post-debate gaffes

President Joe Biden’s gaffes have increased at an alarming rate in recent years.

  • Biden alarmingly described herself as a “woman of color” during a radio interview with Philadelphia station WURD on Thursday.
  • “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, the first black woman… to serve with a black president,” Biden said, appearing to be confused with Vice President Kamala Harris.
  • Biden previously served as vice president to President Barack Obama, the first black U.S. president, which is likely the source of his confusion.
  • The president also tried to go off script and insult his rival, Donald Trump, when addressing military families during the Fourth of July barbecue at the White House.
  • Although Biden came in strong, he fumbled his word and collapsed.
  • “By the way, you know I was at that World War I cemetery in France and one — the one that one of our colleagues, a former president, didn’t want to go and be there,” Biden said in an apparent dig. on former President Donald Trump.
  • “I probably shouldn’t even say that. Anyway,” he continued as his voice trailed off.
  • After shocking the audience, he quickly went back to the script and tried to regain his energy.

CNN commentator Van Jones admitted that Biden did not do well.

Biden’s campaign collapsed due to the barrage of criticism.

Former Obama campaign manager David Plouffe compared the president’s performance to a Defcon1 moment.

Kamala Harris admitted that Biden got off to a slow start, while former White House communications director Kate Bedingfield pulled no punches, describing the performance as disappointing.

After the debate, Biden bizarrely told customers and reporters at a Waffle House establishment that everything went well.

Loving wife Jill Biden praised her husband for answering questions.

But that didn’t stop a flood of New York Times op-eds urging Biden to end his presidential bid.

Hours after the debate, Biden admitted at a rally in North Carolina that he doesn’t debate as well as he did before speaking to his family.

Crouching

Hunter Biden was among those who encouraged his father to remain in the raceper The New York Times.

Top Democrats like Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer have not called on Biden to abandon the racebut some lawmakers urged the president to end his campaign.

Texas Representative Lloyd Doggett called on Biden to suspend his re-election bid.

Meanwhile, Maine lawmaker Jared Golden wrote a opinion article this revealed that he would be fine if Trump won in November.

Democratic politician Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, who represents Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, expressed doubts that Biden will win a second term.

SUPPORTING SUPPORT

The White House was even forced to deny speculation that Biden had told allies that he was considering his re-election bid.

On Wednesday, he ran a campaign to shore up support among Democratic governors.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said Biden remains the right man for the job.

“None of us are denying that Thursday night was a bad performance. It was a bad hit, if you like, but it doesn’t affect what I believe: he’s delivering,” he said.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reacted as journalists bombarded her with questions about Biden’s mental capabilities.

But lingering questions surrounding Biden’s fitness for office have not gone away.

‘SLEEPY JOE’

It Turned Out Biden Told Democratic Governors He Needed More to sleep and avoid events beyond 8pm.

The revelation followed Axes reports stating that Biden will likely be more tired after 4 p.m.

Sources stated that Biden is most attentive between 10 am and 4 pm.

Biden’s term has been synonymous with gaffes and the president appeared to make a blunder during an event on July 4th.

Trump, who remained relatively quiet after the debate, was seen in footage criticizing Biden and Harris.

Then Biden bizarrely described himself as a black woman during a walk.

He was questioned in a 22-minute meeting with Stephanopoulos – former White House communications director and senior adviser to Bill Clinton.

BACK AGAINST THE WALL

With four months left until Americans vote, the polls are bleak reading for Biden.

But he told Stephanopoulos that only the Lord Almighty could make him withdraw from the race.

The Republican Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, Trump, boasts a national lead of roughly three percentage points, according to Very clear Policy.

As of July 2020, Biden was ahead nationally by nearly nine points.

Trump also maintains a lead in swing states.

States like Virginia and Minnesota – which Biden won comprehensively in 2020 – could be in play if the polls are to be believed.

A Republican presidential candidate has not governed Minnesota since 1972.

Bruen warned that Democrats could be facing a Michael Dukakis-style defeat if Biden remains at the top of the ticket.

Dukakis, the former governor of Minnesota, suffered a crushing defeat in the 1988 presidential election against George HW Bush.

“There is no doubt that if Joe Biden continues to be our candidate, we will lose and he will take down countless Democratic leaders with him,” Bruen said.

“I think you’re looking at Michael Dukakis [style loss]. Trump was already making inroads — not just here in Virginia, but in places like New Jersey and New York.”

If Biden is replaced as the Democratic nominee, it is unclear who will replace him.

Harris has been touted as the heir apparent, but Newsom, Whitmer, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker could rise to the top of any ticket.

It’s not even certain that they would beat Trump.

Research compiled by Ipsos revealed that Michelle Obama is the only Democrat who would beat Trump.

She has a 50-39 edge over the Republican mogul in a hypothetical matchup.

Trump maintains a narrow one-point lead over Kamala Harris and is ahead by three points in a matchup with Newsom.
