A radio station host was fired after admitting he only asked President Joe Biden campaign questions during his post-debate interview last Wednesday.

WURD, a Philadelphia radio station, has parted ways with host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who they say violated the station’s practice of remaining independent by using questions provided by the campaign.

“The interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners,” Sara Lomax said WURD Radio in a statement.

“As a result, Ms. Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately,” Lomax continued.

WURD is the only black-owned and operated radio station in Pennsylvania, and she says that’s why it was so important to send a message that this will not be tolerated.

“WURD Radio has cultivated that trust with our audience throughout our 20-year history,” she said.

“This is something we take very seriously. Agreeing to a pre-determined set of issues puts that trust at risk,” Lomax added.

“Black media has a long history of advocating for the interests of the black community,” she said.

“This practice of delegitimizing black voices continues to this day.

And because of this, Lomax added that he needed to make it clear that “WURD Radio is not a mouthpiece for Biden or any other administration.”

This latest error comes at a time when voters are already increasingly skeptical about the president’s health ahead of the November elections.

After the debate against Donald Trump at the end of last month, negotiations reportedly increased among the Democratic leadership over the possibility of forcing Biden to step down for another candidate.

Biden, who visibly struggled to serve many of his own sentences during the debate, left Democrats panicked and worried that he might not be able to defeat Trump in November, and has since been in a media frenzy trying to prove otherwise.

Biden has also said publicly on several occasions, including in a recent ABC interview with George Stephanopoulos and in a later post on X, that he has no intention of resigning as nominee.

But other reports indicate that, behind closed doors, the president is facing intense pressure from Democrats to step aside.

In his interview with ABC, Biden acknowledged that there is a lot at stake in these elections and that the direction of the country could change drastically if Trump is elected.

However, he says that despite his low approval ratings at just 36%, and despite multiple polls indicating that 95% of his voter base is primarily voting for him to stop Trump rather than because they support him – he says he believes he’s still the best man for the job – and all that matters is that he “trys his best.”
