JB Pritzker was recorded sharing his skepticism about Biden’s presidential ticket despite publicly supporting the current leader.

Concerns about Biden’s health and political power have increased recently among prominent Democrats.

Questions about his age arose following the recent TV debate between the two presidential candidates.

The governor made his shocking comments at a public event about investing in violence prevention strategies.

Governor Pritzker began talking to others about the upcoming election and let slip his changing opinions about the president’s chances, as reported by the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV.

“We will continue fighting. I don’t know what to say,” he said.

“Let’s do what we have to do.

“I don’t like where we are.”

A spokesperson for the governor confirmed he was speaking about the election and Biden’s immediate future in politics, according to WMAQ-TV.

This was a dramatic shift as Pritzker, who has held the position since 2019, has consistently supported Biden.

The governor even supported the current president after the worrying television debate at the end of June.

Pritzker wasn’t the only high-profile Democrat to recently cast doubt on Biden.

Illinois Congressman Mike Quigley has publicly called on the president to drop out of the race, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

“Mr. President, your legacy is set. We owe you a great debt of gratitude,” Quigley said.

“The only thing you can do now to cement this for good and avoid a total catastrophe is to resign and let someone else do it.”

Biden’s post-debate gaffes

President Joe Biden’s gaffes have increased at an alarming rate in recent years.

  • Biden alarmingly described herself as a “woman of color” during a radio interview with Philadelphia station WURD on Thursday.
  • “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, the first black woman… to serve with a black president,” Biden said, appearing to be confused with Vice President Kamala Harris.
  • Biden previously served as vice president to President Barack Obama, the first black U.S. president, which is likely the source of his confusion.
  • The president also tried to go off script and insult his rival, Donald Trump, when addressing military families during the Fourth of July barbecue at the White House.
  • Although Biden came in strong, he fumbled his word and collapsed.
  • “By the way, you know I was at that World War I cemetery in France and one — the one that one of our colleagues, a former president, didn’t want to go and be there,” Biden said in an apparent dig. on former President Donald Trump.
  • “I probably shouldn’t even say that. Anyway,” he continued as his voice trailed off.
  • After shocking the audience, he quickly went back to the script and tried to regain his energy.

Nancy Pelosi also shared a cryptic message about Biden’s power and ability to win, according to the Financial Times.

The former president of the House of Representatives said he had a “decision” to make.

“It is up to the president to decide whether to run. We are all encouraging him to make this decision because time is running out,” she said.

HOLLYWOOD REACTS

George Clooney centered celebrity calls asking Biden to drop out of the race, The US Sun previously reported.

Clooney wrote a surprise op-ed titled I Love Joe Biden. But we need a new candidate, to The New York Times.

“I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As vice president and as president,” said the actor.

“I consider him a friend and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. Over the last four years, he has won many of the battles he has faced.

“But the only battle he can’t win is the fight against time. None of us can.

“It’s devastating to say this, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the ‘big deal’ Joe Biden of 2010.”

Stephen King also called for Biden to step down.

“Joe Biden has been a great president, but it is time for him – in the interests of the America he loves so much – to announce that he will not run for re-election,” he wrote in an X publish.

BIDEN’S CHALLENGE

Despite these calls, Biden put his foot down during an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos probed the president about his debate performance and asked what his doctors told him about his health.

“He said he just looked at me and said, ‘You’re exhausted,’” Biden recalled.

“That’s it. I have doctors who travel with me everywhere. Every president does that, as you know.

“Doctors, some of the best in the world, travel with me wherever I go. I have an ongoing assessment of what I’m doing and they don’t hesitate to tell me if they think there’s something wrong.”

The president added that he does not intend to give up the race, despite growing calls for him to leave.

“If the Lord Almighty said ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I would get out of the race, but the Lord Almighty won’t get down,” Biden said.
