VIDEO shows the moment Donald Trump dove behind a podium for cover as a gunman opened fire at his rally, killing at least one member of the crowd.
The former president was seen with blood covering his face as he was surrounded by the Secret Service and exited the stage in Pennsylvania.
Trump was addressing voters in Pennsylvania when the sound of gunfire pierced the crowd.
The shots immediately caught the former president’s attention and he dove onto the podium to protect himself.
Trump appeared to wince in pain and grabbed the side of his head before falling to the ground.
More gunshots were heard as the Secret Service charged Trump to protect him from more incoming projectiles.

Trump was lifted to his feet and seen with blood running down his face, but he raised his fist defiantly to show the crowd that he was okay.
His motorcade was later seen fleeing the scene to take Trump to safety.
The former president was rushed to the hospital by the Secret Service. They released a statement about protecting Trump after the apparent shooting.
“An incident occurred on the night of July 13th at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe,” the statement read.
“This is now an active Secret Service investigation and more information will be released when available.”
The Trump campaign also released a statement about the apparent shooting shortly after it occurred.
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act,” said spokesman Steven Cheung.
“He is doing well and is being examined at a local medical center. More details will be released.”
Republican leaders and other prominent political figures were quick to condemn the actions taken today against Trump.
Pennsylvania Gov. Ben Shapiro said he was briefed on the incident and said, “Violence directed at any political party or political leader is absolutely unacceptable.”
Israeli President Netanyahu also spoke about the situation, saying he was “shocked by the apparent attack on President Trump.”
“Praying for President Trump and everyone at the rally in Pennsylvania. May God take care of them all,” Senator Tim Scott posted on X.
“Karen and I are praying for President Trump and ask all Americans to join us,” wrote former Vice President Mike Pence.
“Laura and I are grateful that President Trump is safe after the cowardly attack on his life,” former President George W. Bush said in a statement.
“And we commend the men and women of the Secret Service for their quick response.”
Although President Trump is doing well, one person is believed to have died in the shooting.
The Butler County District Attorney said he believes the person who died was a supporter of the mob, according to the Washington Post.
They also reported that the shooter is dead and another person is in critical condition.

Donald Trump was reportedly shot at his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.
1 p.m.: Doors open on the grounds of the Butler Farm Show, where Trump was scheduled to speak at 5 p.m.
4:11 pm: Sean Parnell gave the opening speech.
4:35pm: David McCormick rallied the crowd.
5:30 p.m.: Crowds still waiting for Trump.
6:18 pm: First reports of shots fired.
