Rudy Giuliani suffered a dramatic fall as he fell into rows of empty seats at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night.

A chair cushioned Giuliani’s fall and he appeared to grab the seats around him before attendees rushed to his aid.

Some men walking near Giuliani rushed to help the former mayor to his feet.

After a few seconds, he appeared to recover from the fall and did not appear to be seriously injured.

He was surrounded by other participants and managed to continue walking to his seat.

Giuliani is best known for serving as New York City’s major from 1994 to 2001.

He has returned to political prominence in recent years for his support of former President Donald Trump.

IMPOSSIBLE LEGAL PROBLEMS

Giuliani also served as Trump’s lawyer and was indicted last August by the Fulton County District Attorney’s office on charges related to the overturning of the 2020 presidential election.

He has been accused of racketeering and trying to convince Georgia lawmakers to send electors in Trump’s favor.

Giuliani turned himself in and was released on bail, set at $150,000.

He told reporters outside the Fulton County Jail: “I’m very, very honored to be involved in this case because this case is a fight for our way of life.”

“This indictment is a sham. It’s an attack — not just on me, not just on President Trump, not just on the people in this indictment, some of whom I don’t even know — this is an attack on the American people.”

He added: “If they can do it to me, they can do it to you.”

Giuliani faced another charge in Arizona in June that he conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

A grand jury in the state indicted Giuliani and other Trump aides, including White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, legal adviser Boris Ephsteyn and campaign adviser Mike Roman.

They were charged with conspiracy, fraud and forgery.

“I’ve been sued about 20 to 25 times for a movement very similar to this, which is, let’s see what we can do to destroy Donald Trump,” Giuliani said during his court appearance.

“I consider this charge a complete embarrassment to the American legal system, but I have shown no tendency not to comply.”

The former mayor found himself in legal trouble again this year due to bankruptcy.

A New York federal judge dismissed the case on Friday, just days before the RNC began.

Giuliani faced a $148 million defamation judgment from Georgia election workers he falsely accused of helping overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Bankruptcy judge Sean Lane rejected Giuliani’s request for bankruptcy protection, citing his “uncooperative conduct” and lack of transparency.

Giuliani claimed at a hearing in February that Trump still owes him about $2 million in unpaid legal fees.

Despite his legal troubles, Giuliani was seen smiling, chatting with reporters and greeting RNC attendees.

The convention began on Monday and runs until Thursday.

Trump named Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election at the start of the RNC.

Giuliani is among the top Republican names in attendance, including former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott.

Trump is expected to take the stage for a highly anticipated speech on the final day of the convention.
