SEVERAL prominent Democrats believe President Joe Biden could drop out of the 2024 presidential race as early as this weekend.

Party insiders shared that Biden, 81, is feeling pressure to leave due to growing concerns about his age and well-being.

Democrats say Biden is bowing to pressure, as Democratic leaders, Biden friends and campaign donors have said privately Axes that they didn’t think he could win the race.

A friend of the president said he “is heading in that direction.”

“Your choice is to be one of the heroes of history or make sure there will never be a Biden presidential library,” the close friend told the outlet.

“I pray he does the right thing. He’s headed in that direction.”

The news comes after Biden announced yesterday that he tested positive for Covid-19.

The diagnosis was publicly announced hours after he said he would only consider dropping out of the presidential race if he had a medical condition that prevented him from running.

Dozens of Democratic leaders have already called for Biden to resign as fears grow that Donald Trump could win in a landslide.

Former President Barack Obama also said Biden should reconsider his candidacy against Trump, according to the Washington Post.

Obama told allies that “Biden’s path to victory has greatly diminished and he thinks the president needs to seriously consider the viability of his candidacy,” according to the outlet.

Democrats also expect polls to lean toward Trump after this week’s Republican National Convention.
