JD Vance spoke about his upbringing in a working-class family where his mother struggled with addiction.

He said political parties have been “broken” for a long time and emphasized an America First agenda.

“There’s nothing radical about having a strong national security that when we go to war we punch and punch hard, but let’s be cautious and not try to involve America in every corner and remote conflict of the world,” Vance said. he told the crowd.

“Sometimes, my friends, it’s just not our business and we should stay out of it.”

Kamala Harris campaigns in Massachusetts

While Vance and Trump campaign in Michigan, Vice President Kamala Harris is in Massachusetts to raise funds for her campaign.

She spent the afternoon in Provincetown with Democratic donors.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Governor Maura Healey and Senator Ed Markey were also in attendance.

Michigan is typically considered a blue state, but Trump secured the state’s electoral votes in 2016.

Since then, Michigan has become a key battleground state.
