trumpwho continued his campaign in Michigan on Saturday, a week after surviving an assassination attempt, lashed out at Biden during a phone call with CNN.

“He is the worst president in the history of our country. He is considered by far the worst president in the history of our country,” Trump said.

Trump continued his attack on Biden’s decision, writing in Truth Social: “Corrupt Joe Biden was not fit to run for president and certainly is not fit to serve – and never has been!

“He only achieved the position of president through lies, Fake News, and not coming out of the basement.

“All those around him, including his doctor and the media, knew he was not capable of being president, and he was not – And now, look what he has done to our country, with millions of people crossing our border , completely unchecked and uncontrolled, many coming from prisons, psychiatric institutions and a record number of terrorists.

“We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will repair the damage he caused very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

President Biden bowed to pressure from the top Democrats and donors following the fallout from his disastrous presidential debate against Trump on June 27.

JOE ENDORSES KAMALA

Biden said he intends to finish out the remainder of his term and fully supported the vice president Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” Biden said in a follow-up statement.

“My first decision as the party’s 2020 candidate was to choose Kamala Harris as my vice president.

“And it was the best decision I made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be our party’s nominee this year.

“Democrats – it’s time to come together and defeat Trump. Let’s do it.”

Trump laughed off Harris as the Democratic Party’s potential presidential nominee, telling CNN, “She’ll be easier to defeat.”

BIDEN LEAVES

In a statement posted on X at 1:47 pm on Sunday, Biden said he was ending his campaign for the good of the Democratic Party.

“Over the past three and a half years, we have made great progress as a nation,” Biden said, addressing the American public.

“Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We have made historic investments in rebuilding our nation, reducing prescription drug costs for seniors, and expanding affordable health care to record numbers of Americans.

“We provide critically needed care to one million veterans exposed to toxic substances.

“Passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. Appointed the first African-American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most significant climate legislation in world history.

“America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today.”

Biden continued: “I know none of this could have been done without you, the American people. Together, we overcame a once-in-a-century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

“We protect and preserve our democracy. And we revitalize and strengthen our alliances around the world.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president.

“And while it was my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to step down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term.”

President Biden said he plans to tell the country more about his decision later this week.

“For now, let me express my deepest gratitude to all those who worked so hard to see me re-elected. I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all of this work.

“And let me express my sincere thanks to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me.

“I believe today what I have always believed: that there is nothing America cannot do – when we do it together. We just have to remember that we are the United States of America.”

DEMS PRAISES JOE BIDEN

Governor of California Gavin Newsomwhose name has been coined as a potential candidate to replace Biden at the polls, praised the commander-in-chief for his leadership.

“President Biden has been an extraordinary, history-making president – ​​a leader who fought hard for working people and delivered amazing results for all Americans,” Newsom said in an X post.

“He will go down in history as one of the most impactful and selfless presidents. Thank you, Joe Biden.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries echoed Newsom’s remarks: “President Joe Biden is one of the most talented and important leaders in American history.

“In less than one term, he rescued the nation from a once-in-a-century pandemic, brought the economy back from the brink of recession, enacted consequential legislation for ordinary Americans, and saved our democracy by defeating the Insurrectionists—in— Boss.

“America is a better place today because President Joe Biden led us with intellect, grace and dignity.

Jeffries made no mention of Vice President Harris.

Bill and Hillary Clinton supported Biden and gave their full support for Kamala Harris to take charge.

“We join millions of Americans in thanking President Biden for all he has accomplished, standing up for America time and time again, with his North Star always being what is best for the country.

“We are honored to join the president in supporting Vice President Harris and will do everything we can to support her.

“We’ve been through many ups and downs, but nothing has made us more worried about our country than the threat posed by a second Trump term.

“He has promised to be a dictator from day one, and the recent ruling by his slavish Supreme Court will only encourage him to further destroy the Constitution.

“Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we have to elect her. America’s future depends on it.”
