THE Democrats are a “total clown show” who gave democracy a beating by forcing Joe Biden out, a former Trump adviser criticized today.

Sebastian Gorka criticized the US ruling party for trying to parachute Kamala Harris in as Biden’s replacement, despite no one voting for her as their presidential candidate.

And in Never Mind the Ballots, the staunch Republican clashed with Biden’s friend Bob Mullholland, accusing the vice president of being the “face of open borders.”

In attacking Mullholland, Gorka said: “You just destroyed democracy and made a big mess of it by saying you would select the candidate at your convention without a Democratic voter having elected her to be their candidate.

“This is the total disdain Democrats have for democracy.

“What a complete and utter clown show.”

Harris, 59, is the frontrunner and the only person so far to put her name forward to replace Biden.

The outgoing president, Bill and Hilary Clinton, and many major Democrats have already given her their full support.

Democratic Party rules do not allow Biden to simply pass the baton to the vice president.

She will have to convince around 4,000 delegates and 700 superdelegates to support her and nominate her candidate.

What happens next when Joe Biden drops out of the 2024 race?

President Biden has finally heeded calls to abandon his re-election bid, throwing the 2024 election into chaos. He has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, but nominating a new Democratic candidate will not be a simple process. Here’s what’s next after Biden’s stunning announcement.

Biden secured nearly 4,000 delegates by winning the state caucuses and primaries earlier this year. He was supposed to be officially named the Democratic nominee in a virtual vote before the Democratic National Convention, which begins on August 19.

Democratic Party rules do not allow Biden to simply pass his 3,896 delegates to Harris or another candidate.

Harris will now have to convince the nearly 4,000 delegates and 700 superdelegates to support her and nominate her candidate.

However, delegates are free agents who can choose to support any candidate they want – likely without voter input at this stage, since the primaries and caucuses have already been held.

All eyes are now on the previously planned virtual vote – where the Democratic Party could choose a candidate before the DNC begins.

Biden’s support for Harris will likely sway delegates, and no one has publicly challenged her as a candidate — but delegates are not required to support her. Even if virtual voting is not held, the party could still choose Harris or another candidate before the convention.

If Democrats do not nominate their candidate before the DNC, it will be the first open and contested convention since 1968.

But critics have accused the party of a setup that will ensure members have only one choice.

Governors Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer, whose names would be on the list of potential presidential candidates, have endorsed Harris’ campaign.

In an explosive confrontation, Biden’s friend Bob Mullholland called Gorka an “angry, white, bald man.”

The Vietnam veteran and Democratic National Committee member insisted that Harris will “hit hard” in the November election and “hit hard on Donald Trump’s record.”

Mullholand said, “We’re going to talk a lot about Trump and his record, we’re going to go after him everywhere, especially when it comes to reproductive rights.”

Biden’s friend also argued that Americans will not vote for a candidate who has had “multiple marriages, multiple affairs, and multiple children with multiple women.”

Hitting back, Gorka accused Harris of failing to control illegal migration across the US-Mexico border.

He exploded: “She was the person in charge, the tsarina of the border.

“Oh, my dear sir, this is the face of open borders – a woman who allowed 20 million illegal immigrants into the country.”

“People won’t vote on how many ex-wives Trump has.

Turning his anger toward Mullholdand, the former Republican aide added: “Fuck you, you sad old sack.

“Screw it.”

It turns out that Ms. Harris today addressed the public for the first time since Biden withdrew from the presidential election race and endorsed her.

She accepted Biden’s endorsement hours after the president shockingly ended his re-election bid following mounting pressure from Democrats and donors who called on him to resign.

The vice president greeted the NCAA champion teams of the 2023-24 season at the White House.

Harris began her speech by reflecting on Biden’s accomplishments as president before turning to the student-athletes in attendance.

“Our president, Joe Biden, wanted to be here today. He is feeling much better and recovering quickly, and looks forward to getting back on the road,” Harris said of the president, who is recovering from a Covid-19 diagnosis.

“And I want to say a few words about our president. Joe Biden’s legacy of accomplishments over the past three years is unmatched in modern history.

“In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who served two terms.”

Full statement from Vice President Kamala Harris as Biden drops out of 2024 race and endorses her

“On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country. His remarkable legacy of accomplishments is unparalleled in modern American history, surpassing the legacy of many two-term presidents.

“It is a great honor to serve as your vice president and I am deeply grateful to President Dr. Biden and the entire Biden family. I first met President Biden through his son Beau. We were friends from the time we worked together as attorneys general in our home states. As we worked together, Beau told me stories about his father. The kind of father – and the kind of man – he was. And the qualities that Beau revered in his father are the same qualities, the same values that I have seen every day in Joe’s leadership as president: his honesty and integrity. His big heart and commitment to his faith and his family. And his love for our country and the American people.

“With this selfless and patriotic act, President Biden is doing what he has done throughout his life of service: putting the American people and our country above all else.

“I am honored to have the president’s endorsement and my intention is to deserve and win this nomination. Over the past year, I’ve traveled across the country, talking to Americans about the clear choice in this important election. And that is what I will continue to do in the coming days and weeks. I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party – and unite our nation – to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda.

“We have 107 days until election day. Together, we will fight. And together we will win.”
