DONALD Trump was quick to take shots at his political rival Kamala Harris on Wednesday night during his first rally in Pennsylvania since the July 13 assassination attempt.

Just minutes after taking the stage in Harrisburg, Trump hurled insults at Harris and the Obamas’ support for the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

The video captured Barack and Michelle congratulating Harris on her campaign and expressing their support for her presidential bid.

Trump called the video “fake” and highlighted that the phone call was planned due to the excessive number of cameras that captured the conversation.

“Did you see that?!” he asked the crowd before laughing at Harris.

Trump asked the crowd if they thought the call was fake, which was met with loud applause.

The video showed Harris on the campaign trail, taking a call from the Obamas.

Harris answered the call and responded enthusiastically, “Ah. Hi! You two are together! Ah, it’s good to hear from you two.”

“I can’t take this phone call without telling my girlfriend Kamala, I’m proud of you,” Michelle said.

“This is going to be historic.”

Barack then interrupted and said, “We called to say – Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to support you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.”

Harris smiled proudly and replied, “Oh my God – Michelle, Barack, this means so much to me.”

MURDER REFLECTION

Trump also used his speech to acknowledge his return to Pennsylvania since the July 13 assassination attack.

He paid tribute to a victim of the shooting, Corey Comperatore, and asked the crowd to observe a moment of silence for him.

Trump told the Harrisburg crowd he was “thrilled to be back in this beautiful state.”

“As you know, this is my first return to the state since my rally in Butler.”

“By the way, we’re going back to Butler,” Trump added.

He highlighted immigration as the rally’s main political point, which he made the basis of his campaign.

Trump was turning to look at a graphic about immigration in Butler when a bullet grazed his ear.

His head turn prevented the bullet from entering his head, instead hitting his ear.

Trump has often credited the graphic with saving his life and reiterated the point in Harrisburg.

He invited the team member who created the graphic to the stage to greet the crowd.

“I love this graphic. I will sleep with him for the rest of my life,” Trump said.

After the employee said hi to the crowd, Trump added, “She’s a computer genius. She saved my life.”

Latest shooting at Donald Trump Butler rally

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet while speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024.

Donald Trump was not seriously injured and is expected to make a full recovery. He has since made his first public appearance following the shooting.

TRUMP ON OFFENSE

Trump took the opportunity in Harrisburg to come down hard on Harris following her attacks at a rally in Atlanta.

Trump called Harris a “lunatic” and a member of the “radical left.”

He told the crowd that their decision was between a “radical left puppet candidate who is fake, fake, fake” and a candidate who will “fight, fight, fight.”

He also mocked Harris’ rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, where Megan Thee Stallion performed.

Trump said his rally drew more than 20,000 people, “no stars.”

“We don’t need this – we have our star,” he added.

After Harris attacked Trump on Tuesday, he fired back sharply, calling her the “worst vice president” ever.

He added that Harris was a “terrible” district attorney and said she did not deserve the Democratic nomination.

Harris said during her rally that she would “proudly” pit her record against his any day.

Trump responded during his rally: “In one of the most disingenuous moments of her speech last night, Kamala Harris boasted ‘I would proudly put my record up against Donald Trump any day of the week.'”

“Well, Kamala, come on, challenge accepted. Let’s compare our record point by point. I can’t believe I’m doing this,” he added.

“In November, the American people will compare these records and tell the border czar, Harris…you’re fired!” Trump later said, referring to his catchphrase on his reality show, The Apprentice.

RECAPING THE CAMPAIGN TRACK

Harris said during her rally in Georgia that as vice president, she worked to craft bipartisan legislation to curb illegal immigration.

She told the crowd that Trump called each Republican senator individually to torpedo the plan because he wanted to run on the issue of immigration.

Trump responded to Harris by accusing her of “open borders” and claiming she was a “border czar,” a term she has repeatedly denied was used to describe her political stance.

Trump added that Harris never visited the border and allowed “criminals” to enter the country.

On the economy and the environment, Trump said Harris was in favor of banning fracking, leaving thousands of Pennsylvanians without jobs.

In one of the most disingenuous moments of her speech last night, Kamala Harris boasted: “I would proudly put my record up against Donald Trump any day of the week.” Well, Kamala let’s go – challenge accepted. Let’s compare our record point by point.”

“Drill, baby, drill,” Trump reiterated, a phrase he used frequently during the campaign.

Straying from politics, Trump discussed his conviction and boasted that his mug shot was the best-selling photo of all time.

Trump’s rally in Harrisburg came after the former president appeared on a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago, Illinois.

ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott began the conference by asking Trump to address past comments he has made about people of color.

“So my question, sir, now that you are asking black supporters to vote for you, why should black voters trust you after you used language like that?” Scott asked.

“Well, first of all, I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible way,” Trump responded.

He went on to say that ABC was a “fake news network” and stated, “I love the black people of this country, I have done a lot for the black people of this country.”

Trump then said he was “invited under false pretenses” and questioned why Harris was not present.

He also bizarrely questioned Harris’ race, telling reporters: “She was always of Indian heritage and was just promoting Indian heritage.”

“I didn’t know she was black until a few years ago when she became black, and now she wants to be known as black.

“So I don’t know, is she Indian or black?”

Trump also used the conference to defend his running mate, JD Vance, saying he had “great respect for him.”

HARRIS ON DEFENSE

Harris is making up for lost time on the campaign trail and is coming down hard on her opponent.

The Obamas’ endorsement of Kamala Harris

Barack and Michelle Obama have officially endorsed Kamala Harris as the next US president. Their statement is below,

“This week, we had the opportunity to talk to a friend we have known for over 20 years. She’s had a very busy few days, to say the least. her – or more thrilled to endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.”

“We agree with President Biden – choosing Kamala was one of the best decisions he made.”

“But Kamala has more than a resume. She has the vision, character and strength that this critical moment demands. We have no doubt that Kamala Harris has exactly what it takes to win this election and deliver results for the American people . At a time when the stakes have never been higher, she gives us all reason to hope.”

“I made my choice. I expressed my views. I would like to thank our great vice president, Kamala Harris. She is experienced, she is tough, she is capable. She has been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. Now , the choice is up to you, the American people.”

She pulled out all the stops at her Atlanta rally, inviting rapper Quavo to speak and Megan Thee Stallion to perform.

Harris issued a challenge during her rally asking Trump to “meet me on the debate stage.”

She added, “Because, as the saying goes, ‘If you have something to say, say it to my face!'”

Harris portrayed herself as a prosecutor facing a criminal, citing Trump’s previous convictions.

She is scheduled to continue campaigning in swing states and will announce her running mate in a few days.
