The leader of the 2025 project has stepped down. Does not mean anything.

Paul Dans, director of the Heritage Foundation and architect of the infamous domestic terrorist manifesto Project 2025 — you know, the treaty that would destroy and reform the federal government — resigned from his post on Tuesday as donald trumpThe Communist Party’s campaign sought to distance itself from the document of destruction.

Trump can no more distance himself from Project 2025 than a bumper can distance himself from a car. But you can’t blame the former president for taking advantage of Dans’ decision to resign, even if the gesture doesn’t seem genuine. In fact, it seems like the plan was always for Dans to move on once his work was done.

“Under the leadership of Paul Dans, Project 2025 has completed exactly what it set out to do: bring together more than 110 leading conservative organizations to create a unified, motivated conservative vision to return power from the unelected administrative state and return it to the people ,” Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, told CNN. “This tool was built to be used by any future administration.”

The whole public piece about Project 2025 would have been disastrously humorous if not for the whole “restructuring the free world as we know it” bit. For those who have not yet bothered to familiarize themselves with the destruction doctrine, let me give you the CliffNotes version of the 920-page “Pinky and the Brain” power move to destroy America as we know it.

One of the first missions was to get rid of public officials who did not pledge loyalty to Trump. There would be a national abortion ban, an increase in the retirement age for Social Security It is changes to overtime pay protections. When they weren’t ruining the finances of the backbone of America, they would be busy “restrict access to contraception” and “reduce funding for early childhood and basic education”, the Center for American Progress reported. The plan would also “end civil rights protections,” “end safeguards that protect drinking water” and end efforts to “combat the climate crisis,” according to the policy institute.

It’s all very “under your eye.”

From the beginning, Trump claimed he had no knowledge of Project 2025, but let’s be clear, Trump and Project 2025 go together, badly. Trump and Project 2025 are Jay Z and Beyoncé of the Republican Party. They are Botox and Matt Gaetz of the Republican Party. They are the WNBA media and the Conservatives’ Caitlin Clark.

And Dans’ resignation after helping create this bastion of Babylon is equivalent to throwing away the matchbox after starting a forest fire. It’s all for show, just like most things involving Trump. It will have absolutely no effect on the damage that will be done if Trump takes office, and I’m not being hyperbolic: about 140 people involved in Project 2025 worked for Trump.

A CNN Review found that “at least 140 people who worked in the Trump administration participated in the project…including more than half of the people listed as authors, editors and contributors to ‘Mandate for Leadership’.”

“Mandate for Leadership” is the official name of the tomb of terrorism, which calls for a ban on the abortion pill mifepristone and would prevent the Affordable Care Act from covering the morning-after pill and contraceptives for men. Masochism’s weighty missive notes that the government should promote heterosexuality in marriage and familyand would ban transgender people from joining the military.

An aside: There was a part in this section that made me think, “You know, maybe Trump didn’t know about Project 2025,” and it was the part that noted that there would be a pornography ban. I mean, given his propensity for… anyway, I digress.

CNN noted that Dans wasn’t just a random who put together this manifesto of chaos. He “served as chief of staff at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management during the Trump administration, where he served as a liaison between the agency and the White House.”

The fire under Project 2025 had gotten so hot from the Democratic leadership that Trump turned to his Truth Social platform to dissociate himself from it.

“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they are saying and some of the things they are saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Whatever they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

Which is bizarre when you consider that both Trump’s former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and former political advisor Stephen Miller had some involvement in the project and have now, like Trump, distanced themselves from it.

But there is a bright side to the news of Dans’ departure. The measure, although an empty gesture, is a tribute to the dynamism that is Kamala Harris’ campaign. Trump is scared to death. This is the first time in a long time that he has had to play defense. Vice President Harris didn’t just swoop in and take advantage of all of Trump’s momentum after the assassination attempt; she is breaking fundraising records for her presidential campaign, with large groups of people joining Zoom calls to ensure that the only time Trump sees the White House again is as a visitor.

After Biden resigned and endorsed Harris, the Trump campaign announced it would not debate her, a smart move considering she is a former prosecutor and he is used to being sued. And now the creator of the notebook of nihilism has resigned from his position and, well, you love to see it.

Unless all people associated with Project 2025 who have ties to the Trump administration leave the Heritage Foundation or cease to be affiliated with Trump, then it can be assumed that if Trump wins office, Project 2025 will go into full effect. We must remember that whenever Trump starts claiming that he doesn’t know someone or something, he is usually conspiring or lying, or both. In fact, Business Insider wrote an entire article about this, titled “20 people Trump met in person and later said he didn’t.” It’s part of his brand, the Trump brand, which has always been built on a legacy of lies.
