President Biden’s average approval rating is lower than that of any other president in recent history during the same period he was in the White House, new data released on Friday revealed.

The president obtained an average approval rating of 38.7% in office in his 13th quarter of office, which ran from January 20 to April 19, according to averages aggregated by Gallup.

In the same quarter, former President Trump faced an average approval rating of 46.8%; former President Obama faced a 45.9 percent approval rating and former President George W. Bush had a 51 percent approval rating, according to Gallup.

The second lowest behind Biden at that time was former President George HW Bush, who had an average approval rating of 41.8%.

The highest number in the 13th quarter was that of former President Eisenhower, who had an average approval rating of 73.2 at that point in 1956.

Gallup’s latest average-boosting poll, conducted in April, found Biden’s approval rating at 38 percent. In March, the Gallup poll found him with 40% approval, and in February, 38%.

Although Biden has faced a consistently low approval rating, a poll earlier this month showed he was rebounding. A poll of The Financial Times and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business found Biden’s approval rating at 43 percent, the highest since November and marks a 4-point increase from the same poll in March.
