President Biden is set to travel to San Francisco and Seattle this week for a West Coast fundraiser as he ramps up his campaign efforts.

He will travel on Thursday to San Francisco and attend two campaign receptions in the Bay Area on Friday. He will then travel to Seattle on Friday and attend campaign receptions over the weekend.

The president traveled to the Democrat-friendly San Francisco Bay Area several times last year, including in February when he raised funds in Silicon Valley. On this trip, he also campaigned in Los Angeles.

The president traveled to San Francisco in November for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, a high-stakes meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and held a fundraising campaign in the city’s financial district.

The latest money-raising trip comes as the campaign launches a $14 million ad buy in May to focus on reaching Black, Latino and Asian Americans. The campaign plans to have more than 500 staffers and 200 offices open by the end of May and has $192 million in cash on hand.

Biden will travel Wednesday to Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois, for campaign events and then return to the White House before heading to the West Coast.
