President Biden has won the Kentucky Democratic presidential primary, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.

Biden’s victory in the Bluegrass State will give him at least a majority of the state’s 53 pledged delegates up for grabs. He is already the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee since winning enough delegates in March.

He was the only major candidate active on the ballot, which also included author Marianne Williamson. Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.), who dropped out and endorsed Biden, was also on the ballot.

Voters could select “disengaged” instead of either candidate, as some voters have done in several states to protest the Biden administration’s handling of the war between Israel and Hamas. The effort to get voters to vote in uncommitted protest against Biden had some moderate success in states like Michigan and Minnesota.
