Vice President Harris on Thursday unveiled her first presidential campaign video, which focuses on rights and freedom.

The more than one minute video, titled “We choose freedom,” features Harris as the narrator, as well as the song “Freedom” by Beyoncé.

“The freedom not just to survive, but to progress. The freedom to be protected from armed violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body. We choose a future where no child lives in poverty, where we can all afford health care,” says Harris.

“Where no one is above the law,” she adds, as the ad features a photograph of former President Trump’s mug shot and headlines about his legal issues. “We believe in the promise of America and we are ready to fight for it. Because when we fight, we win. So join us.”

This video will run on all of the campaign’s social media platforms, according to the campaign.

The ad was released days after Harris garnered enough support from Democratic delegates to secure the party’s nomination. The vice president has seen an influx of endorsements and fundraising for her new campaign since President Biden announced on Sunday that she was dropping out of the race and endorsing Harris.

Biden, in an Oval Office speech Wednesday night, explained his decision to withdraw from the race, saying the goal was to unite Democrats.
