Former President Trump said Friday night that he thinks the “inner halls” of the White House should apologize for the New York silence case that Trump faces, and that the case should be dismissed.

“There is virtually universal agreement that Alvin Bragg’s Witch Hunt against me, a SHAM TRIAL instigated and prosecuted directly from the inner hall, then the White House and the DOJ, should be immediately abandoned, with apologies to me and to everyone else who has had to live with this charade of election interference against Joe Biden’s dishonest political opponent,” Trump said on his Truth Social website on Friday. “Is not cool!!!”

Trump is concluding another week of trial in New York, where he is making history as the first or former sitting president to face a criminal trial.

He has pleaded not guilty to charges that he falsified business records to cover up a secret payment made to porn actress Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about his alleged affair before the 2016 election.

Trump is under a gag order for the case, meaning his communication about the “mock trial” has been limited.

After attacking the judge’s family and others, the gag order restricts what Trump can say about the judicial process and the people involved in it, including key witness Michael Cohen, who testified this week.

The former president won support from GOP members of Congress this week, many of whom traveled from Washington to the New York courthouse to rest the case. They claim the case is an example of election interference because it is a way to keep Trump out of the campaign trial and out of President Biden’s sight.
