The Trump Organization’s former chief financial officer was released from Rikers Island on Friday, according to New York City prison records.

Allen Weisselberg, Trump’s longtime financial guardian, was sentenced in April to five months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of perjury stemming from former President Trump’s civil fraud trial, in which Weisselberg was also a defendant.

After serving 100 days of that sentence, he was released on Friday, records show. He previously spent 100 days in the same prison on different charges.

Weisselberg’s attorney, Seth Rosenberg, confirmed that he was released from custody and “reunited with his family.”

Weisselberg was initially charged with five felony counts of perjury. He pleaded guilty in April to charges that he lied during a 2020 deposition as the New York attorney general’s office built its civil fraud case against the Trump Organization.

In that deposition, Weisselberg was questioned by state attorneys about Trump’s Manhattan triplex, which was listed on the former president’s financial statements as being 30,000 square feet — despite actually being less than 11,000 square feet.

The former CFO told lawyers that he “did not discover the error” in the listed size of the Trump Tower triplex until Forbes reported it to him and that he was not present when Trump described the property’s size, both observations he has now admitted were false .

As part of his plea deal, Weisselberg also admitted to lying in his trial testimony and during other testimony last year, without pleading guilty to those charges. Testimony from him during the fraud trial, where he falsely said he “never focused” on the triplex, spurred the inquiry into his perjury.

Prosecutors from the district attorney’s office, which brought the perjury charges against Weisselberg, said in charging documents that the size of the Trump Tower triplex was “relevant” to the attorney general’s investigation.

A New York judge ruled earlier this year after the trial that Trump and senior executives conspired to alter his net worth to obtain tax and insurance benefits. The judge has already found them responsible for fraud.

Weisselberg was ordered to pay more than $1.1 million, plus interest, and barred for three years from holding leadership positions in any New York corporation or business entity. He was also banned from serving “in the financial control capacity” of any New York company for life.

Trump bears the brunt of the financial penalty, ordered to pay $454 million, plus interest, for his role. His sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, also owe $4.6 million each.

All penalties are suspended for now while the defendants appeal after posting $175 million bail in the case.

Weisselberg’s previous stint at Rikers came after pleading guilty in 2022 to evading nearly $2 million in taxes over a decade through back-channel compensation from the Trump Organization.
