Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) married fiancée Mindy Noce in a weekend ceremony in South Carolina.

The pair exchanged vows Saturday at Seacoast Church in Charleston, nearly eight months after the South Carolina senator proposed to Noce, an interior designer, The Post and Courier reported.

“Tonight, we promise to cherish and nurture each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives. Mindy, you have made me the happiest man in the world. I love you,” Scott wrote Saturday in X.

Posting two photos from the ceremony, Scott shared a Bible verse, Matthew 19:6, that said, “Therefore they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Close family and friends, along with former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Senators John Thune (S.D.), James Lankford (Okla.) and John Barrasso (Wyo. ) were in attendance for the special day, the Post and Courier reported.

Fox News host and former Rep. Trey Gowdy (SC), who co-wrote a book with Scott in 2018, also attended the event, the Post and Courier added.

The couple began dating after meeting at church, Scott said, where they bonded through Bible study. During his brief presidential campaign last year, the senator frequently refused to comment on his personal life until last September, when he revealed he had a “special someone.”

He did not name Noce at the time, referring to her only as a “lovely Christian girl.” She was first seen in public two months later, when she joined him on stage at a presidential debate in November.

Before revealing that he was dating at the end of last year, speculation fueled the senator’s love life. Some questioned whether he could be the first unmarried president in more than a century before ending his campaign for the White House.

Former President Trump, who was endorsed by Scott earlier this year, congratulated the senator and Noce on social media.

“Congratulations to my longtime friend, Senator Tim Scott, and his beautiful bride, Mindy Noce, who were married today in the Great State of South Carolina. You have a GREAT future. God bless you both!” Trump wrote in Social Truth on Saturday.
