An Amazon Prime subscription will now permanently include a free subscription to the Grubhub+ food delivery service, the companies announced Thursday.
Amazon previously offered a one-year Grubhub+ subscription to Prime members in July 2022, before extending the offer for another year in June 2023.
Grubhub+ membership includes no delivery fees for orders over $12, reduced service fees and 5% cash back credit on pickup orders, the companies said.
The expanded partnership, announced Thursday, will also integrate the two platforms more seamlessly. All Amazon customers will be able to order food delivery with Grubhub directly through the Amazon shopping website and app.
“We know Prime members value savings on food delivery, so we’re extending $0 delivery fees and exclusive savings with Grubhub+ to Prime members, and now customers can enjoy easy access to Grubhub in-store and Amazon app,” vice president of Amazon Prime, Jamil Ghani said in a statement.
“We are excited to build on our successful collaboration with Amazon and bring more convenience to Amazon customers by offering Grubhub’s network of hundreds of thousands of restaurants directly on Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app,” said Grubhub CEO, Howard Migdal, in a statement.
The announcement follows similar offers that Amazon Prime has announced in recent years. The annual subscription cost of $139 includes access to same-day delivery, discounted One Medical membership, and Prime Video.
