LinkedIn co-founder and billionaire Democratic donor Reid Hoffman is calling on Vice President Kamala Harris to replace the head of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) if he is elected in November.

Hoffman suggested that FTC Chair Lina Khan, who has led the Biden administration’s aggressive antitrust campaign, is operating “outside the scope” of her job and argued that she is “a person who is not helping America.”

“I hope Vice President Harris replaces her,” Hoffman said CNNadding: “Antitrust is good… fighting a war is not.”

The LinkedIn co-founder quickly supported Harris’ presidential bid on Sunday after President Biden announced he was stepping aside and endorsing her vice president.

“Kamala Harris is the right person at the right time,” Hoffman said in an X post, adding, “I wholeheartedly support Kamala Harris and her run for President of the United States in our fight for democracy this November.”

Hoffman has been an outspoken supporter of Biden and Harris at a time when former President Trump has managed to make inroads in the typically deep blue Silicon Valley.

However, Silicon Valley is not a fan of Khan, as major technology companies have often been the subject of FTC scrutiny.

Hoffman is not alone in his calls to oust Khan. IAC President Barry Diller, who has donated to Biden and the Democratic Party, said Friday that he would also lobby Harris to replace the FTC chairman.

“I think she sucks,” Diller told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
