Three teenagers – including two 14-year-old boys – were shot in south London.
Officers were called to Otlinge Road in Orpington at 10pm on Wednesday where they found an 18-year-old man.
O Metropolitan police said paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were able to treat him at the scene for gunshot wounds.
During a search of the area, two boys – both aged 14 – were also found injured.
The force says all three were taken to hospital and described their injuries as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.
Following investigations, officers discovered the shooting took place in nearby Yalding Grove.
Detective Inspector Raymond Sekalongo, from the specialist Trident crime investigation team, said: “Tackling violent crime in London remains our absolute focus and reducing shootings is central to this.
“We understand this incident will cause concern in the community. We want to ensure we are carrying out swift investigations to ensure any suspects are detained.
He added: “I know this can cause fear in the community, which is why I will ensure officers are present in the area to listen to any of your concerns.”
Police have not revealed whether they still have a motive for the shooting or whether officers were able to question the teenagers about what happened.
