A WOMAN was left scarred for life after her friend’s sausage dog bit off her cheek and ate it.
Kelly Allen, from Swansea, Wales, was left traumatized after a friendly dog turned into a brutal attacker.
The terrifying incident happened when the single mother was enjoying a social night out with her friend.
But the innocent night turned into a nightmare when the dog suddenly changed its behavior while Kelly was sitting on the kitchen floor.

But her friend’s sausage dog suddenly attacked, sinking its teeth into her face without warning.
The 45-year-old said: “He didn’t bark, or growl, or make any noise, he just lunged and grabbed my face.
“He then began to get angry, shaking his head back and forth.
“I could feel his teeth deep in my cheek – I still have flashbacks now.”
The furious animal squeezed her face so hard that it tore off a piece of skin, leaving her in excruciating pain.
She repeatedly screamed “get him out of here” as blood began to flow.
The shocked mother said: “The only reason he escaped was because he ripped off that piece of meat and ate it.
“He didn’t let go, he pulled and I felt the skin tear.”
But the dog came back for more and bit her on the arm again.
She added: “I have never drunk so much blood.
“I looked in her mirror, which was right in front of me, and thought ‘shit, I’m in trouble’.”
‘RUINED LIFE’
Kelly was then rushed to Morriston Hospital where they numbed the area and rubbed the wound.
She said: “They were bending me over a sink and scrubbing, scrubbing, scrubbing, scrubbing, scrubbing… it was agony.”
The vicious attack resulted in a gaping wound on his cheek, requiring extensive plastic surgery to repair.
She explained: “I met with the plastics team who explained what they were going to do.
“They were going to take a piece of skin from my neck and graft it onto my face.”
Kelly was under the knife for five hours in surgery that left her with 40 stitches.
The attack has now left his self-esteem shaken.
She added: “I can’t get out of bed and I’ve been crying a lot. to sleep because I feel your teeth in me.
“I was left with a horrible scar on my face. It just ruined my life because it will never be the same.”
The once “very friendly” dog was removed by authorities and later euthanized.
Kelly was shocked to learn that the same dog had attacked two other people in the past.
FINANCIAL TENSION
In addition to the physical wound, she is now struggling to live with the emotional scar left by the violent attack.
Kelly said: “If it wasn’t for my close friends and family, I don’t know where I would be right now.
“I just don’t live my life.”
Even basic outings became daunting without the support of his sons Fletcher and Cooper by his side.
Kelly, who works at a contact center in Tui, said the traumatic experience had had financial consequences.
She added: “I can’t go back to work because I can’t face people, I just can’t.
“I am now making a legal claim, but this could take up to two years and in the meantime I have no income.”
The £350 statutory sick pay she receives monthly is not enough to cover her bills and living expenses, she said.
She added: “I am not entitled to anything else because I am still employed and I cannot give up my job to get financial support because then I lose my job.
“So I’m in a very difficult situation at the moment.”
Currently, she depends on the generosity of family and supporters.
His sister Stacey released a fund raising to help Kelly during her recovery – and has already received more than £1,000 in donations.
