The political source leading the fight to expose Prince Harry’s US visa documents says the Duke should be expelled from the US if he lied.
Harry is fighting to stop the release of his immigration documents after concerns were raised about his visa application.
The right-wing group Heritage Foundation is suing the US government over access to the paperwork.
Heritage argues that Harry’s admission in his Spare memoir that he took cocaine should disqualify him from immigrating to the US.
The foundation said Harry must have lied on his immigration forms – or received special treatment.
But US government lawyers said Harry could have invented his cocaine bomb to “sell books”.
Heritage campaigner Nile Gardiner told The Sun’s new political program Never Mind the Ballots that Harry must “face the consequences”.
He said: “Without a doubt, if you lie on a US immigration application, it is a crime, a very serious crime.
“Under normal circumstances, these individuals would be removed from the United States.
“It is a deportable crime and that is why Donald Trump recently said he would take appropriate action if Harry had lied.”
In a GB News interview with Nigel Farage, former US President Trump said Harry would have “no special privileges” if re-elected.
Trump said: “We’ll have to see if they know anything about the drugs.
Timeline of Prince Harry’s visa problems:
“If he lied, they will have to take appropriate action. You would think they would have known that a long time ago.”
The former president previously said Harry “will be alone” if he wins a second term in the White House.
Trump said Harry “betrayed the queen” and that President Joe Biden was “very kind” to the prince.
He told the Conservative Political Action Conference: “I wouldn’t protect him.
“Harry betrayed the Queen. That is unforgivable. He would be alone if it were up to me.”
Gardiner told The Sun political editor Harry Cole: “It’s a very basic principle here.
“People should not lie on their immigration applications – that is a crime.
“These individuals must face consequences which could, of course, include deportation and removal from the country.
“So let’s see exactly what Harry put in his application. If he lied, this is an extremely serious offense.
Donald Trump warns that Prince Harry could be expelled from the US
PRINCE Harry could be deported from the US if he is found to have lied on his visa application, Donald Trump has claimed.
The duke is fighting to stop the release of his immigration documents after being hauled before a Washington DC court over his allegations of drug use in the memoir Spare.
Harry’s admission that he took cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms means he should not have been allowed into the US, the Heritage Foundation argues.
In an interview with GB News’ Nigel Farage, Trump said Harry “will not receive special privileges” if he is found to have lied.
The former US president said: “We will have to see if they know anything about the drugs…
“And if he lied, they will have to take appropriate action.”
Trump was unable to explain what “appropriate action” meant.
But he added: “You would think they would have known this a long time ago.”
Trump – who will face Joe Biden in the race for the White House later this year – previously said he “would not protect” Harry because he “betrayed the Queen”.
Trump said that if he wins the election in November, Harry “would be alone.”
“Normally, an individual who lied would be asked to leave the country.”
It comes after Harry finally cut ties with Britain – after listing his California mansion as his primary residence.
The prince entered “New normally resident country/state” as America on Companies House records in June last year.
Harry had previously listed the UK as his primary home – even after moving into his $14 million mansion in California.
The Sun revealed that Harry backdated his US residency to the exact day he and Meghan were kicked out of their UK base.
Royal experts suggested Harry, 39, was making a point after being “deeply hurt” by the order to leave Frogmore Cottage.
