A second man has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with the death of Gogglebox’s George Gilbey.
Essex Police said the 36-year-old suspect, from Witham, remains in custody and inquiries are ongoing.
The force previously arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of manslaughter through gross negligence. He was later released under investigation.
A joint police and Health and Safety Executive investigation is underway.
Gilbey, of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, suffered traumatic injuries to the head and torso and died in Shoeburyness on March 27, an earlier inquest hearing was told.
Coroner’s officer Deborah Frost said the 40-year-old man was “working on a roof when he fell through a plastic skylight, landing on the ground below”.
Essex Senior Coroner Lincoln Brookes opened and adjourned the inquest pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.
Gilbey was best known for appearing on the Channel 4 series Gogglebox – in which contestants watch and comment on the previous week’s TV programmes.
