Take That say they are moving their shows in May from the new Co-op Live venue to another arena in Manchester.

The band wrote on X: “Given the ongoing technical issues surrounding the opening of Co-op Live, we have made the difficult decision to move our May shows to the AO Arena.

“This is not a decision we take lightly, but we wanted to give our fans as much notice as possible.”

The band said its two planned June shows in Manchester were unaffected.

It takes place after the UK’s biggest indoor arena was hit by problems even before its inauguration – with shows scheduled, including performances by American singer Olivia Rodrigo – canceled at the last minute.

US rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who was scheduled to perform there on Wednesday, said on X that his show has also been moved to the AO Arena on Saturday. He said, “We’re not going to give up so easily, let’s go!”

On Friday, Peter Kay said he had been forced to postpone two shows there for the second time.

The comedian was originally supposed to perform on April 23rd and 24th, but the shows, which were postponed to April 29th and 30th, were postponed to May 23rd and 24th.
