The Princess of Wales smiled as she appeared with her children at Trooping the Color – complete with Prince Louis dancing to the bagpipes.

It was Kate’s first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis was announced, and the crowds that packed The Mall in London were no doubt there largely to catch a glimpse of the princess.

She and her three children were cheered by the crowd as they ventured out of Buckingham Palace in a carriage procession, while the Prince of Wales accompanied them on horseback.

When the royal carriages stopped, it was Prince Louishis youngest son, who was the first to jump, followed by Prince George and your sister Princess Charlotte.

Wearing a light outfit decorated with a white and navy blue ribbon and a matching wide-brimmed hat, Kate smiled as she and her children watched the troop ceremony from a window overlooking the Horse Guards Parade.

Much attention was paid to Prince Louis, who stole the show two years ago making faces during the military flyover.

Although there did not appear to be any similar antics this year, at one point the young prince could be seen dancing during the Scots Guards’ swift march to Highland Laddie.

At just six years old, Prince Louis’ attention seemed to waver once or twice when he was seen yawning as he watched the parade through the window of the Duke of Wellington’s former office.

At one point, his gaze turned to what appeared to be a blind rope in the building.

Later, the Royal Family stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the RAF flyover.

The royal children looked up and later waved to the crowd as a series of jets, including Typhoons and F-35s, roared overhead.

Prince Louis seemed very interested in the planes flying over the capital, while his sister Princess Charlotte calmly observed the proceedings as she stood next to him on the balcony.

The future king, Prince George, spoke to his father, Prince William, who was seen pointing things out to his eldest son.
