MARTIN Lewis shared an emotional message to his former colleague’s family after officers found a body during their search for him.
Anthony Hill, 37, was last seen on Monday – the morning of his 37th birthday – as he left his home in Norwich.
Police today revealed that a man’s body was tragically found last night in the hunt for the father of two – after his wife made a heartbreaking appeal.
Anthony worked with Martin at Money Saving Expert before changing jobs and becoming a primary school teacher.
Martin today sent his regards to the 37-year-old’s family following the latest update from police.
He wrote on X: “It is with a heavy heart that I share this. My love to Ant’s wife Kayleigh and her daughters.
“It’s the worst news. I’m so sorry for all of Ant’s friends and his little students. I will remember you fondly, Ant.
“Also thank you to the thousands of you who shared posts while Ant was missing, I know it helped his family.
Anthony, who has two daughters aged six and four, left his home in Thorpe St Andrew at around 7.45am on Monday.
CCTV photos showed him at a Co-op store on Sprowston Road in Norwich at 9.58am before he disappeared.
Norfolk Police said today: “Police can confirm that the body of a man was found in Norwich last night.
“The body was discovered in an area near Heathgate in the city just before 8pm.
“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of 37-year-old Anthony Hill, who was reported missing from his home in Norwich on Monday, have been informed.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”
Anthony’s heartbroken wife, Kayleigh Hill, 36, helped organize a massive search with worried local residents.
On Facebook earlier this week, she posted an emotional message, writing: “Anyone who has some spare time to help would be greatly appreciated, I’ll be there today, we need to find my girls’ daddy.”
She added: “Please keep looking, please Ant, if you see any of these things please come home, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been away, just come home, we love you and we need you back”.
Martin Lewis also made his own appeal on social media to raise awareness.
MSE said in a post on X, formerly Twitter: “This is devastating. Please share.
“Anthony is a lovely man who used to work in the MoneySavingExpert business team before leaving to pursue his valiant passion of teaching. I hope and pray he is well.
“Please, please spread the word.”
