A murder investigation has been launched after a man believed to be in his 90s was found dead in a home in Hambrook.
Police were called to the property in Mill Lane, South Gloucestershire village by the ambulance service on Saturday morning.
A man was found dead at the scene.
A 60-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.
Avon and Somerset Police said a formal identification process has not yet been completed, but officers believe the man is in his 90s.
His family has been informed and is being supported by family liaison officers.

Borough Chief Inspector Steph McKenna said it appears the two men knew each other and there is not believed to be any ongoing risk to the public.
“Our investigations are at an early stage but at this time it appears this was an isolated incident,” she said.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this extremely upsetting time.”
