Newly released footage shows the search for missing British teenager Jay Slater continues on land and in the air.
The search for the 19-year-old Lancashirethat is missing Tenerifehas now entered its tenth day.
He has been missing since Monday, June 17th.
The friends he was vacationing with last heard from him around 8:30 a.m. that day.
He said he planned to walk back to his accommodation after missing a bus – a journey of around 11 hours on foot.
The search is currently focused on Masca, a mountainous area in the far west of the island.
The village, which has around 90 inhabitants, is located at an altitude of 650m and is where Mr Slater This is believed to be when he was last heard from.

The research continues
The Spanish police footage comes after Mr Slater’s father said the family was being kept in the dark by some officers.
It shows a helicopter searching the mountainous area, with search teams on foot having been accompanied by sniffer dogs.
They then enter a wooded area and continue searching in the mountainous region.
In one clip, a police officer uses binoculars to try to see if there is any sign of the missing teenager.
Jay Slater’s father said police left him and his family in the dark during their search for the missing teenager.
The montage of 35-second clips was posted on the social media platform X on the Guardia Civil account.
“We continue to search for the missing British young man in Tenerife,” police said in the post on Tuesday night.
“Several Guardia Civil units from the area participate, accompanied by agents, with their dogs specialized in searching for people, from Madrid”.

But The Times reports that the dogs were not given an article of clothing by Mr Slater to smell.
Cadaver dogs have been trained to smell human remains without the need for specific warning.

Online detectives join the hunt
Mayor Emilio José Navarro told Reuters news agency that some residents had been interviewed by police.
This includes some who claim to have seen Slater watching Euro games from the coast.
